Cambridge English Qualifications: from Pre A1 to A2 - Assessing the speaking components.
The seminar will focus on exploring some issues connected with speaking as a skill to be assessed. It will also help teachers become more familiar with the Speaking Assessment Scales across the levels of this Seminar, and develop their awareness of the usefulness of these scales as a tool to describe and analyse their learners speaking skills. Lastly, videos will be shared to discuss performance and assessment of candidates taking the speaking tests.

Build Back Better: lessons learnt and a way forward
Things changed, and then they changed again. How can we get back to where we were, or to even know where we are? How can we help our learners feel confident and engaged with their language learning in this context? In this session we will explore some ideas that can help you and your learners find your way through the maze, and look at some data from Latin American countries that can help us be (dare we say it?) optimistic.
